Here it is more proof that Christianity isn’t a refuge from Male Genital Mutilation (MGM). It’s often part of the cultural engine that justifies it.
You’ll see it everywhere:
Parents asking for prayers before the “procedure.”
As if divine whispers will make up for what they’re choosing to do anyway.
And then if the boy grows up and dares to cry foul they’ll tell him:
“Find it in your heart to forgive.”
As if he is the one with the heart problem.
As if he is the one lacking compassion.
As if calling out violence is a sin but committing it isn’t.
So Where Was the Forgiveness When the Straps Went On?
Where was the grace when a screaming infant boy was pinned down and mutilated in the name of culture, medicine, or God?
Where was the Christ-like mercy then?
Why are Christians so quick to preach forgiveness to the violated but not for them?
Why are male infants stripped of bodily autonomy while everyone else bows their heads and calls it tradition?
They Think Pain Is Holy

Christian theology romanticizes suffering.Torture is sanctified by Christ’s example.
Pain becomes proof of worth, proof of love, proof of loyalty.
So of course, when a baby boy is cut they call it “sacrifice.”
When a man questions it they call it “bitterness.”
When you point to the damage they tell you to move on.
This is not love. This is pathology.
And it hides behind robes, pulpits, and softly-spoken cruelty.
There is no grace in ignoring harm.
There is no holiness in tradition without consent.
And there is no salvation in silence.
