Reddit Is a Haven for Cowards, Intactivists don’t waste your time there.

Recently, I shared a post on Reddit that directly criticized Christianity for its role in normalizing and enabling infant circumcision.

The reaction?

Not outrage at the cutting of babies.

Not shock at centuries of bodily violation.

Not support for the victims.

Just tone policing, apologetics, and cowardice.

And that’s exactly the problem.

Reddit Isn’t a Free Speech Platform; It’s a Conformity Machine

Reddit loves to play both sides. It pretends to be a place for bold thought, open dialogue, and debate. But in practice, it’s a fragile, neutered echo chamber. If your opinion makes people uncomfortable especially about male suffering: it gets flagged, downvoted, buried, or banned.

You can mock religion all day, until you question how it justifies mutilating babies.

You can rage about injustice, unless it involves foreskin.

You can be as “progressive” or “rational” as you want, until you say something that doesn’t stroke Reddit’s limp liberalism or smug centrism.

The Real Reason People Defend Circumcision: Weakness

People defend circumcision not because they believe in it, but because they’re too weak to confront it.

It takes strength to face the fact that:

You were mutilated and no one protected you. You allowed your son to be mutilated and now feel guilt. Your culture is built on normalized violence against boys.

That level of accountability takes spine. Reddit has none.

Instead, it offers comfort to the cowards. It gives them upvotes for deflection and karma for denial. The idea that someone might name the thing for what it is amputation, violation, abuse is too harsh for their coddled sensibilities.

This Is Why Intactivism Must Be Unapologetic

If you think you’re going to end infant genital mutilation by being nice, polite, and non-threatening you’re deluding yourself.

We are up against a society that:

Does not care what happens to boys Has a thousand ways to justify the unjustifiable Will do anything to preserve comfort over truth

That’s why Reddit failed. That’s why it will always fail. It is the digital reflection of the spinelessness that enables circumcision to continue unchecked.

Cowards Enable Genital Cutting. Full Stop.

Call it religion. Call it culture. Call it “cleanliness.”

None of it happens without weak men and weaker communities who refuse to speak out, who bury their heads, who get more offended by harsh words than by crushed babies.

Perfect. That’s a key insight and it deserves its own focused segment in the post, or even a full post of its own. Here’s how you can fold it into the piece or expand it:

When They Can’t Refute You, They Pathologize You

Here’s what always happens when you speak the truth about circumcision in a place like Reddit:

They don’t argue with your points.

They argue with you.

“You’re just angry.” “You’re hurt.” “You must be traumatized.” “This is a mockery.” “Your account is new.” “You’re obsessed.”

Classic deflection. Pure projection.

They can’t logically defend circumcision because it’s indefensible. So they attack you instead. They try to reduce your arguments to your emotions, your tone, your account age anything but the actual facts you laid out.

That’s how the culture protects itself: by pathologizing dissent.

If they can make you sound crazy, they don’t have to face that what you’re saying is true.

Newsflash: Anger Is Not the Problem Violence Is

You know what’s more concerning than anger?

Strapping down a healthy baby and cutting part of his penis off. Teaching people to accept it because “it’s tradition.” Silencing anyone who dares to call it out.

If you’re more bothered by someone’s tone than the fact that infants are being mutilated you’re the one with the problem, not the person speaking out.
